ROOTS. announce partnership with QEV Technologies

Marking ROOTS’ latest venture into the world of sustainability and electrification, we are excited to announce our partnership with electro-mobility specialists QEV Technologies to develop and build the FIA Junior eRX Championship for 2021 and beyond.

The FIA recently awarded QEV Tech with the tender to develop the ‘arrive and drive’ concept of the FIA Junior eRX Championship, which will launch in 2021. QEV Tech will create and build a bespoke 4-wheel drive, tubular chassis, electric car with a 32kWh battery developing 250kW.

QEV Technologies are specialists within the diverse field of electro-mobility, from designing electric vehicles to developing electric powertrains, installation of electric charging infrastructures to electric motorsport - and much more. With many years of experience in motor racing, including its successful participation in the FIA Formula-E World Championship, QEV Tech has experience designing, building and offering all the necessary technical support for new electric prototypes.

ROOTS will be using our experience and expertise to work with QEV Tech in building the FIA Junior eRX Championship commercially and strategically from the ground up.

This is a hugely exciting time for electric motorsport, and this partnership with QEV Technologies is just the latest challenge ROOTS is undertaking in the sustainable motorsport field, following GCK’s move to run its paddock structure entirely on renewable energy, and supporting our client Guerlain Chicherit in the creation of GCK Energy.
